| Domenico,
No parent errors can occur internally in the Domain FM they are then mapped
to the Common exception No Such Entity. The parent would be the MAP domain that
the domain is being added to. From the iconic map it should always exists or
you can not open the map.
When Dynamic domain members are created loop checking is done to be sure it
is a hierarchy. No checking is done for static domains, so they can be used
for navigation or to limit notification roll up.
Do you have a multi clearing house dns setup?
What is the domain hierarchy structure .i.e does the parent bellong to
other domains?
Could the domain been deleted from another terminal?
Did the domain that was being added exist or was a new domain?

| Yesterday a collegue from Stockolm gave me a good input to solve
the problem. He told me to look using the dns$control one attribute of
the object domain. That is my domains structure from the MCC point
of view:
EDU_WORLD
EDU_EUROPE
EDU_ITALY
EDU_MI
EDU_CED
nodes
Looking the attribute MCC_DOMAIN_LIST
DNS> SHO OBJ EDU_CED ATTR MCC_DOMAIN_LIST
the DNS tells me that the domain EDU_CED has two backlink with the
domains EDU_MI and EDU_ITALY_BCK, but...the second domain doesn't still
exist! Infact the guy from Stockolm told me that he had the same
problem with a domain with no backlink towards the upper domains. I
deleted the domain EDU_CED e recreate it and did a lot of attempts
inside various domains to create new domains without any problem.
Note that the system I use is the tool to train the instructor to be
able to train the MCC course, of course I'm the instructor, and I had a
lot of problem with the DNS and MCC setup so probably some information
was corrupted by my attempts.
Many thanks to both
Domenico
