1308.0. "Can we use System Services to develop an AM ? " by ANNECY::JACQUEMOUX () Mon Aug 05 1991 06:38

I'm going to develop an AM (for SNA network) which communicate with
	an agent through mailboxes.

First, the SYS$CREMBX system service seems make some troubles
regarding the debugger functionality. I've followed the 358 Topic
advices, but it doesn't work and the debugger seems 'disabled'.

Can I use the System Service routines or are there equivalent
	DECmcc routines ?

Could you help me because my development schedule is very short !!!

	Regards,

		Thierry.

1308.1DEC's IBM Interconnect group is already building the SNA AM...ULTMAT::BELANGERA ROSE by anyother name, would not be manageableMon Aug 05 1991 12:5010

Why are you creating an AM for an SNA AM? DEC is already building this
product (along with System's Center, Inc.). You should contact Daniel
Holland (DELNI::D_HOLLAND) for more information about the SNA AM.

1308.2NOT in conflict -- but complimentaryCLARID::PATELWe'll get it right on the nightMon Aug 05 1991 14:4613
    Re .1

Hi, I am the Product manager for the "AM" in question. What we are
building is NOT a SNA AM, it is infact an APPLICATION AM. The
application is designed to receive messages from the IBM systems and
    have them centralized.

This AM will help us to run the alarms capability in "some what" an
integrated fashion. Basically what I am saying here is that references to
other corporate projects have been made and I have ensured that there
    are no conflicts.

Check your code again with the debugger. Your symptoms are most
	unusual.

Use the VAX/VMS system service rtns.
All the DECmcc common routines are specified in the SRM.
