1229.0. "VAXft; KFE" by TOSKI::ADAMS (Hope I die before I get old) Wed Jul 10 1991 13:23

Ethernet AM. MCC V1.1. VMS V5.4

Hmmm, the VAXft's Ethernet device, the KFE, seems not to be directly
supported. You can get around this by using the VIA PORT qualifier though.
And it even works on the REGISTER command, though not documented.

(Thank God. The REGISTER directive apparently won't work unless it can
communicate immediately with the Station. I suppose it is polling for some
information, though it seems to do this even if the FUNC SUPP attribute is
used in the command line.)

Evidence follows.

Yes, that's correct. You imply that everything works when you use the VIA
PORT qualifier. If so, I'll add it to the list of devices for V1.2. We
only fully support those Ethernet devices which we have tested (or had
someone else like youself test for us). Thanks for the information.
