1078.0. "B/W monitor and color monitor" by ZUR01::SCHNEIDERR () Fri May 31 1991 07:38

Hello all,

Our internal test and play DECmcc runs on a color VS3100. I have a B/W VS2000
and make a "set display" to the color station.

Now my question:

I can change my MCC_RECOURCE.DAT to B/W that I can read and see eveything. But
is there somewere a parameter that I can set to say DECmcc that I have a B/W
monitor, that I get in the case of an alarm the bell and not a colorchange.
Or in other words how does DECmcc know that it has to bring the bell and not
the colorchange. I'm not shure, does the software check the local attached
graphicinterface?

Roland,
The display information (colors, pixel widths, screen sizes etc) is
read from the server driving the display being used. You do not have
to set a parameter. BTW If you ran MCC from a monochrom system and piped the
output to a color screen, you would see the icons change color and not
the bells.

1078.2I will try itZUR01::SCHNEIDERRFri May 31 1991 10:587
Fred,

At the moment our DECmcc machine is in Backup or in other words down. I will
try it, but I need the other way DECmcc on a color station and the output on a
B/W monitor. I just remember in the EFT version of DECmcc I never saw a bell.

Thanks  Roland
