918.0. "DECelms - Non descriptive Error" by PHLACT::BBRADBURY () Tue Apr 16 1991 13:09

Looking for help with a DECelms error. I suspect that it has something
to do with coexistance with DECmcc BMS.

    Any ideas?

I obtain the following error when attempting to look at any
    information on my bridges:

Local Network Module Broken Reason: N/A

I recently installed DECmcc BMS V1.1 on the system. I also have
DECelms running as part of the DECmcc Site Management Station.

I reinstalled DECelms to see if that would fix the problem. It did
    not.

    Any suggestions?

The DECelms Use book that I have lists "Local Network Module Broken Reason"
as a Line Status attribute (not an error).

The description states:

Display Field: Local Network Module Broken Reason

Description: The reason that the Local Network Module State (shown in the
Line Spanning Characteristics display) is BROKEN. If the Local Network
Module State is not BROKEN and the Port Restarts counter (described in
Table 5-16) is nonzero, this field shows the reason for the last line
failure, if any. This field only applies to the LAN Bridge 200 and the
    DECbridge 500.

Now a value of "N/A" for this attribute would indicate to me that there
was no previous line failure.

Am I missing something?
