843.0. "TLB_AM Add Entity problem" by GRANMA::JPARKER () Wed Mar 27 1991 02:22

    Hi,

    Trying to Add Translan Bridge Entity (BMS v1.1, Iconic MAP) and the IFT
    TLB AM. All is normal until I position on the MAP, click MB1, after 4-5
    seconds it fails with '...specified class inconsistent with entity
    class'.
    The Add Entity window shows entity class: TRANSLAN. I use the name
    .innsbrook, h/w address is correct and the TLB III is working. DNS has
    .mcc_translan_backtranslation defined.
    Is this error pointing to Attribute data conflicts??? Any thoughts.
    Thanks,
    Jeff.

I happen to be at Vitalink(in Fremont CA) right but the phone lines *suck*.
Sorry for any weird characters in this message.... Ox

Need more data. Sounds like you have already registered something *else* with
the same name, though.

I Don't think this is a Translan problem, but...
	- What verion of SW are you running on the Translan Bridge
	- What kind of Bridge is it
	- What's the date on the MCC_TRANSLAN_AM.EXE ?

843.2running v6.9.7 not 6.10.2RDOSW1::PARKERThu Mar 28 1991 13:1411
    Hi Doug,

    Nevermind...
    I just verified that the TLB III is running version 6.9.7 and NOT
    6.10.2 as I thought. Our operator will do the upgrade next week, and
    I'll try it again.

    Thanks,
    Jeff.

843.3It works.RDOSW1::PARKERWed Apr 17 1991 16:447

    Just tried this again and it worked just fine.
    The TLBIII is now at 6.10.1. So I'm going to take it to .2 myself !@%$
    as the release notes are real clear about known 6.10.1 problems.
    Regards,
    Jeff.
