549.0. "QAR time - V1.1 EFT release notes" by ALICAT::CLEARY (A deviant having fun...") Thu Dec 13 1990 00:21

    In the V1.1 EFT release notes, section 1.1, what to do if you install
    RSM after you install MCC, action 3 is not quite correct.

    The commands should read

    $ SET COMMAND/TABLE=SYS$COMMON:[SYSLIB]:DCLTABLES -
    	/OUTPUT=SYS$COMMON:[SYSLIB]DCLTABLES -
    	MCC_SYSTEM:MCC_COMMANDS

    The command given in the manuals will create a new version of DLCTABLES
    in SYS$SPECIFIC:[SYSLIB] instead of in SYS$COMMON:{SYSLIB]. This
    will lead to problems similar to those described in section 1.4.

549.2Install guide commentsALICAT::CLEARYA deviant having fun..."Thu Dec 20 1990 00:0118
    A (very) minor problem with the installation guide.

    It concerns the time zone for DNS. It is Australian Capital Territory
    not Australia Capital Territory. This is a systematic error inherited
    from DNS.  (page 1-18)

    Overall I'm impressed with the installation guide. There is a lot of
    information there and it needs to be read a couple of times but it
    works. One comment - the business about setting up DNS directories is
    not well explained. You don't get told that the mcc_dns_setup.com
    procedure will ask you if you want to do a bunch of other things and it
    doesn't explain that you might want to run it again later. I'm not
    sure how adding users to the control group realtes to the section on
    setting access control to the DNS directories. Maybe it'll all be
    clear after I've read the users guide.
