341.0. "Installation problem with version MCCTCPIPUT011" by SAC::MAGUIRE_G () Fri Sep 21 1990 10:18

I have difficulty in installing MCCTCPIPUT011 on a VMS 5.3-2 system.
A short way into the installation the message received is as follows:-

    %SYSTEM-W-NOSUCH%SYSTEM-W-NOSUCHFILE, no such file
    \SYS$SYSROOT:[SYSLIB]MCC_MTS_PRIV_SHR.EXE\
%DCL-E-INVIFNEST, invalid IF-THEN-ELSE nesting structure or data
    inconsistency

Fatal DECmcc TCP/IP SNMP UT1.0.1 event occurred during installation

%VMSINSTAL-E-INSFAIL, The installation of MCCTCPIPUT V1.1 has failed.

The kit was spooled across from CSEVEN the date on the kit was
30-AUG-1990 15:13 and the license was added prior to the installation.

Have I got an incomplete kit (I did spool it across twice just in case)
or is it a fault of that particular version.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    	Thanks in advance,
    			  Gerry.

This looks like the base system of DECmcc isn't installed.
The TCP/IP SNMP Access Module is an add-on product that layers over
the DECmcc Director or Basic Management System ( BMS ). These kits
are on KEEL, see note 3 ( and many others ... ).

The installation procedure has been cleaned up alot, and the new kit
will be available soon. Sorry to put you through such ugliness.
