31.0. "The joy and sorrows of alcohol" by MKTCRV::KMANNERINGS () Fri Jan 24 1997 18:37

I have won a bottle of scotch whisky. Personally my attitude to the
scotch stuff follows Brendan Beehan, who reckoned that the only reason
it is fit to drink at all is that they blend it with some Irish.

However it is a bottle of single malt Macallan, so it may be fit for
human consumption. It comes from Craigellachie, whereever that is.

Should I risk a small glass or will it destroy my brain cells ?

Irish whiskey going down tastes like Scotch whisky coming up.

I had a tipple of it on Saturday evening. A bit to much like a liqueur
brandy for my taste but very smooth and definitely no trace of a
hangover. I expect I will manage to persuade myself to drink it.

Cut out the ignorant cackle there on the lower decks please. It
    is most unbecoming.

I disagree Jamie. It's not often I disagree with you, but I do this
time. True, Paddy's and Power's are pretty rough, but a Jameson's Gold,
or a Midleton are more than a match for any Scotch malt.

    Cheers, Laurie.

Paddy's is rough, but heat it up with a little sugar and some cloves
and it's wonderful for those cold nights	;-)

While I'm gibbering, what am I bid for the Red Dwarf Video from Friday,
you know the one with ACE Rimmer Mark II

The most bizzarre swap I've been prompted to oblige with was:

One tablecloth for one kangaroo's scrotum money-pouch.

    I did the swap.

    Keen ?
