39.0. "Word usage, from on high" by VAXCAT::RKE (C'est moi, l'pussychat) Wed Mar 26 1997 12:42

This came through the mail today. Its supposed (I think) to be an authoritative
text on how to use English correctly. Incorrect examples first, correct after.
I am currently wondering what exchange-savvy is, and why anyone would want to
be it.

Enjoy.....

Most of these phrases - however spelled - would bring me out in instant
guffaws !

    Yeah! Utter twaddle.

Oh, RKE, Exchange-savvy is something we'll all need to be soon,
assuming it means what I think it means. As it's a made-up phrase of
(probable) American origin, it could mean anything!

    Cheers, Laurie.

Savvy is pidgeon English. This could explain its use in America -
	smirk smirk.

I believe you mean "pidgin" English, Richard.

    Helpfully, Laurie.

Speaking as a POF it is nice to see that what I have been saying all
along is true. Correctly written English is preferable to badly written
    English.

         Shouldn't this be a semi-colon?

I think it should have been a colon.

"colon" was going to figure in my reply.
