    Would anyone know if there are any docs/info that do a price/performance
    comparion of MS-Sqlservr V Oracle. The operating system would be NT.

    yes..and check the oracle Web page for a report which quotes
    the idcstudy report..contradicting it...

    I was told by Oracle this week that their Oracle Workgroup server is in 
    the same price range per seat as SQL Server.  THe Universal server is
    big bucks.  However, I don't know if you have to pay extract for
    Oracle Performance Pack or not.
