   -Prepared and characterized high quality single crystal surfaces using LAUE X-ray diffraction,
     metal polishing techniques, and low energy electron diffration (LEED)
   -Programmed Software to analyze data obtained from He scattering experiments studying alkali metal
     adsorption on Al
   -Studied structure and prepared model of adsorption systems

 Intern at the Development and Engineering Group, AGR, International, Butler, PA;  8/1996 - 12/1996
   -Conducted feasibility studies for on-line automated inspectin systems for glass and plastic 
     containers using microscopy, optical techniques, illumination systems, CCD technology, and
     image processing
   -Developed new techniques for non-contact thickness measurement systems, defect detection systems
     in crystallized finishes and check inspection systems
   -Performed customer demonstrations of various inspection systems
