    JOB TITLE:    Software Quality Assurance Engineer
    
    JOB CODE:     50AB (higher job code possible, depends on candidate)
    
    JOB DESCRIPTION:
    
    1st Shift.

    The candidate will work on projects within Digital Semiconductor's
    CIM (Computer Integrated Manufacturing) Engineering group.

    The candidate will be responsible for the software quality assurance of
    CIM systems.  This function includes writing test plans, development of
    automated regression tests for new functionality, test execution, and
    test script generation.  SQA projects include testing of equipment
    integration, engineering analysis databases, application integration,
    and graphical user interfaces.


    EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    - Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS or EE with a strong software
      background.
    - Candidate should have experience/understanding of software design,
      planning, and user interface principals.
    - The ideal candidate will have one or more of the following skills;
      XRunner, UNIX, OpenVMS, relational database, SQA, C/C++, and X11 or
      Motif experience.
    - Must have strong problem solving, communication, interpersonal skills
      and be able to work with limited supervision.
    - Important to have a customer focus and be a team player. 
    - Prior work experience in software development and software quality
      assurance preferred.
