2417.0. "Phoenix NetBIOS partition destroyed..." by SOS6::BERNARD (Bernard Ourghanlian, Alpha Resource Center) Wed May 28 1997 10:52

I've used Partition Magic to repartition my HiNote VP 575 and I've
destroyed the Phoenix NetBIOS partition. I've tried to use PHDISKF with
the "/create" option but I've got the following error : "Not enough
contiguous free disk space" which in fact means the partiion is not
there. Is there any way to recreate the PHDISK partition without
reformatting the entire disk ? And if yes, how ? Where should the
partition be located ? In which format ? Should it be hidden ?

Apparently, there is another tool called PHDISK (without the F) that is
supposed to do that. If yes, where one could find it ?

At the risk of sounding stupid...what the hell is a Phoenix NetBIOS
partition??? Why would a NetBIOS have a partition?

IN the user guide, I believe it describes how to repartition and set up
the system after an FDISK operation.. PHDISKF creates a file INSIDE of
a formatted partition. The VP510-545 used a non-dos partition and the
VP 550-575 use a continuous space inside of a partition. Be sure to use
PHDISKF /create 86016. This will cover you in case you add memory to
    your system.

2417.3Internal errorSOS6::BERNARDBernard Ourghanlian, Alpha Resource CenterWed May 28 1997 16:567
After defragmenting my C partition, I finally managed to use PHDISKF in
order to create the file using the command : "PHDISKF /create 86016". But
I still have a problem to use the file. When I boot, I get the
following error message : "Internal error: Read past partition/file
    end".

What else can I do ?

By the way, what is the file name PHDISKF is supposed to create ?
