2328.0. "HiNote VP Video Projection" by MILRAT::UGRINOW () Tue Mar 11 1997 18:34

We've tried to hook up 3 different HiNote VP's to a Proxima

Desktop Projector and are unable to synchronize the video.
However, they will all project to an external monitor at the
same time without a problem.

Tried to adjust the sync on the Proxima and it just wouldn't
lock in on the notebook video signal. Have had no problems
with the older HiNote Ultra displaying out to the Proxima.
When checking the "Display Properties" I see a "tab" for
NeoMagic and noticed that the frequency is "frozen" at 60hz.
FYI: Looks like the driver is v4.03.2508 if I'm reading that
correctly.

Any ideas of what else to try??

Thanks,
--Nick

What resolution and color depth are you using? I successfully used an LCD
panel with the default 800x600x256 setting. The refresh rate shown in the
Settings tab is irrelevant for the laptop LCD display.

Yes...The HiNote VP is set at 800x600x256. We had even tried changing
the driver from NeoMagic to "Standard" and that didn't have any effect
either.

I've been noticing in several msgs about bios/video driver updates
but I can't find url/ftp sites...the PCBU, CCS, MCS doesn't seem to
have it.

Thanks!

    Nick,

Given that you can get an external monitor working, I think you should
look for problems with the projection system. It may not supported the
    video frequencies.

The BBS does have the 1.05 BIOS and the 5.08 video drivers - look under
HiNote VP500.
