2326.0. "NT 4.0 on Ultra I/Multi Media?" by SCASS1::GRESS () Mon Mar 10 1997 15:49

    Will the Hinote Ultra II drivers 1.1 for Windows NT 4.0 also work on
    the Ultra I? I looked on the web site and there was nothing for the
    Hinote Ultra I listed for NT 4.0.

    I am assuming that I have the Hinote Ultra I - its a CS450 that has the
    75MHZ upgrade in it Model number is FR-PCP8D-W2 REV B5. I want to make
    sure that the Multi-Media with the 6x CD-ROM drive will all work under
    NT 4.0

    Is this do-able on this Hinote?

   Look through previous notes for MM support on the Ultra I under NT.

   Unless somebody from the PCBU explicitly indicates that loading an
   Ultra II driver on an Ultra I will work, I wouldn't try it...

2326.2clear answer please?SCASS1::GRESSMon Mar 10 1997 21:064
    I have looked through the previous notes before I posted this one.

    I could not find a clear answer. Is the model of my Hinote an Ultra I
    or II?

You have an Ultra I. The Ultra II models all have Pentium processors.

    I have been using the Ultra II MMU drivers on a CT475 for serveral
    months with no problems with NT workstation V4.0.
