433.0. "John Spencer?????" by DWOMV2::CAMPBELL (Ditto Head in Delaware) Wed Jun 23 1993 01:16

Would anyone here know an old friend of mine, John Spencer?
We used to work together in Marlboro and I began hearing the
discussions at his howse in Woburn. I finally finished, many
years later, and would like to get in touch with him. I don't
know if he still is at Digital, but perhaps some of you might
know him. My wife and I are getting baptized this Sunday and
I thought he'd like to know, if I could reach him.

    I'm in Delaware now.

    Thanks for any help,

    Dennis

At least I think it was Woburn....

Congratulations...It sounds like there is a real good story behind your
request. Could you share it with us? How did you first hear about the church?
What was Johns involvement in the conversion process? etc.

      Thanks...
      Carter...

I recently met with our mission president and he requested that my
wife and I write the story of our conversion, for our posterity, and
possibly for publication. There certainly have been some interesting
twists in the trail we have followed to get to this point. Just
moments ago, I had a feeling come over me that I was unable to take
this step alone, and could only do it with my partner. It was only
a month ago that we still wondered if we could be a team. Then we
decided to start reading scriptures every day, saying family prayers,
and doing family home evening. I keep pinching myself. I almost
feel guilty for how happy our family has become, as we draw closer
    to our baptism.

Oh, sorry, the story. When we complete it, I'll be happy to post it
here, but I'm not sure how long it will take us.

    Thanks for your interest,
    Dennis

I am a member of the Marlboro Ward in the Boston Stake. There is a
John Spencer in this ward and he is an ex-Deccie. He took the first
package about 3 or 4 years ago. He is doing fine, although I do not
know what work he is doing. All, but one of his stepchildren, have left
home. He has 2 or 3 grandchildren.
