672.0. "%OA-E-STRBOUNDED String operation requires bounded/dynamic bounded class" by WAYOUT::CLARKE (The Cat in the Hat comes back.) Tue May 12 1992 21:19

Anybody seen the above error appearing in their local MTIERR.LOG?

This was written on an ALL-IN-1 V2.4 system with Message Router V3.1b. The
customer believes that this error occured at the same time as a user had a
remote mail returned from the Postmaster with the 'ALL-IN-1 was unable to send
off node' message.

This message was being sent to MRS on a remote node and the sent message had
the MRID field filled in.

Is it possible that this was caused by returned errors from MRS? The mail
in question was sent and returned within 5 mins which would indicate to me that
if this did cause the error everything occured in 1 sender run (message was not
originaly sent express, sender runs every 10 mins).

The error only occured once and mail is merrily passing through the same MRS
gateway now. Further problem tracking will not be easy as the customer does
not have the original message any more.

    Aston,

It would appear that this message has only been seen by your good friend
Mr Barham in note 2521 of the old conference
    (according to STARS at least)
    - so it might be a good idea yelling over the workstation to see if he
    remembers.

The only time my feeble memory reminds me of this is when there was a
long auto-forward address in play - could this be happening here.

    regards,

Just for future reference.

This problem was similar to the previous occurance of Clives. The mail in
question contained an attachment received from a third party PC mail system.

Couldn't get to the bottom of the problem as the mail has since been deleted and
the problem has not re-occured.
