3780.0. "oa$site_dev logical names " by VAXRIO::ABREU () Wed Jan 19 1994 20:22

    Hi,

       I upgrade the version of a customer from 2.3 to 3.0 .. and the
    logical names oa$site_dev_brazilian and oa$site_dev_rec_brazilian are
    pointing to the wrong disk and directory ... I tried to change using
    the option SM MA .. and there I changed the OA application with the
    correct root and site root ...I deleted the old logicals and ran the
    shutdown of ALL-IN-1 and after that I restarted it .. but despite of
    the new values being there in the OA application , the logical names
    are similar to the old ones.

    Is this the right way to correct these logicals ? Any ideas ?

    Thanks .. Marcia

    Hi,

      The problem looks like the one in 3610. But it's not the same . My
    case the customer doesn't have a second language. He just has Brazilian
    language. And the workaround suggested in STARS is the one I tried ..
    that is to change OA application ... it didn't work ..
    I mean the logical names are still with the old values.

    Any ideas ?

    Thks.. marcia

3780.3how about this one?AIMTEC::WICKS_AAtlanta's Most (In)famous WelshmanWed Jan 19 1994 21:4512
    Marcia,

    OK - is this a case where you are trying to put the BRAZILIAN
    application area on a different disk to the SHARE application?

    how about the STARS article entitled:
    V3.0 RN Addition: After ANY Primary/Secondary Language Installation

    regards,
