4189.0. "EVE_WPS Replace gives Too many arguments" by FOLDRS::HOWARD (Yes it is) Fri May 20 1994 06:12

I am using EVE_WPS as my editor and when I try to use Gold ', which is
REPLACE, I get the TPU error:

    Too many arguments

I have data in the paste buffer, and I have selected text. Am I the
only one that ever tried this, or does the message indicate that the
feature was dropped because people couldn't agree on how it should
    work? ;-)

This is V3.0A, an MTS site.

I just tried it on our system & get the same error - global replace seems to
work reasonably well, though.

It looks like this is a feature, then. Can anybody give me a hint as
to whether it needs to be reported? Anybody care to try it on a PFR to
save the paperwork if it is already fixed? I am attempting to find a
workaround, but TPU seems determined to block me from redefining the
    Gold apostrophe key.
