128.0. "Bookreader just goes away." by AKO455::SHEPRO (B-I-Biky-bi B-O-Bo) Mon Feb 06 1989 13:56

    Every so often, the Bookreader process just goes away. I start
    the bookreader with the Clock and calendar as three separate
    sub-process: SPAWN/NOWAIT/INPUT=NL: RUN SYS$SYSTEM:DECW$BOOKREADER

    Am I short on job quotas or something? what can I look for?

128.1DECwindows bugRTL::HARROWPOSIX what?Mon Feb 06 1989 15:157
If you have DECW$DISPLAY defined to be a remote node, then I've already QARed
this problem. It appears to be a server bug. The recommended workaround was
to set ASTLM > 100. This is QAR 2117 in the decwindows-ift database. It is not
closed yet, but I got an answer by phone.

This appears to be a problem involving the Transport, RMS, and AST's.
Try bumping AST quota to 50-100 and see if that helps.

128.3Server bug can cause thisDECWIN::FISHERBurns Fisher 381-1466, ZKO3-4/W23Tue Feb 07 1989 22:288
    We just discovered a server bug which may well be causing this problem.
    Unfortunately, there is no workaround for the particular problem I am
    talking about. There may be exeraserbating cicrumstances which are
    helped by ASTLIM, etc.
