1190.0. "DDIF$VIEWER display problems" by BAHTAT::WILLIAMSH () Fri Jul 28 1989 11:06

    I have created a newsletter style document. ie it has a short heading
    and is split into 3 columns.

    When I view the document with the DDIF Viewer, the document is
    distorted in the following ways.

    1. Under my heading the description of the title element is displayed.
    ie "level 1 head text" (or whatever the text is, I didn't make a
    note!)

    2. The three columns are shifted by one column to the right so that
    the first column is blank, 2 columns of text are shown, the 3rd column of
    text is not displayed.

    I haven't used the ddif viewer much so I don't know if this occurs
    with documents of other styles. Has anyone else experienced similar
    problems?

    Helen,

    We, the CDA Viewer (formerly DDIF Viewer) team, are trying to track
    all of our bugs in the CDA Bugs notes file (DDIF::CDA_BUGS);

    Could you please post this note in that notes file along with any
    other information that you might be able to provide including:

    	- version of DECwrite used to create document (I assume you used
    	  DECwrite to create this document, otherwise, we need whatever
    	  product created the document, and the version number)

    	- version of the Viewer that you are using; are you using the
    	  latest (DECwindows V2 field test) version of the viewer.

    	- pointer to the file so we can step through the problem locally.

    Thanks for the report,

    Dennis McEvoy
