I will be more authentic to myself, listening more to the inner voices
and censoring my words and actions less and less.
I will worry less about things I can't control.
I will relax and flow with life, rather than against it.
I will often show those I love that I love them.

I already said it in some other note recently, but why should
I set myself up for failure? Does anyone ever keep a New Years
resolution?! This sounds like the start of another note, but I'd
really like to know if anyone has kept a New Years resolution.

re: .6:

Yes, I've kept New Years' resolutions, and generally do. My general
rule of thumb is not to "resolve" to do anything that I wasn't
seriously planning to do (or in the process of doing) anyway, to
have a battle plan of _how_ I am going to make said change, and to
regard the "resolutions" as goals rather than absolutes. That way,
a resolve to eat less junk food doesn't go down the tubes with the
    first bag of fritos.

I don't make huge lists of resolutions, though - two or three a year
    is about my limit.

605.11I think I can stick to these.....ICS::BELMOREWed Jan 02 1991 12:3719

I completely forgot about this resolution stuff! Fun! Here's mine:

    1. Exercise more, tone up.

    2. Try to look my best EVERYDAY no matter what kind of mood I'm in.

    3. Be consistant with housework.

    4. REALLY accept the fact that it is USELESS to fret about things
       I have no control over.

    5. Be happy with what I've got, and work with that!

                            -Jennifer!

    Ski more!

Take my camera with me everywhere. Well, more places. I'm tired of
only _seeing_ good shots. And I want to use the (new!) zoomlens to try
to get some wildlife recorded too. (I got binocs too, they should help
    and be fun too)

Get along with my daughter better. I didn't think she'd act like this
till age 13 or so, but she seems to be precocious in more than her
    writing/reading...

Go to sleep at a reasonable hour. Sometimes, anyhow!

    and the flight-of-fancy resolution:

learn to give hugs like the expert! (we know who she is ;-)

I will make mistakes. (There's one anyone can keep :-)

I will learn compassion for others by practicing on myself.

I will listen to others with an open heart and mind.

I will be honest with myself.

    I will grow.
