Details forthcoming as soon as the dust settles over in the planning conference.
But meanwhile, it's a Saturday event, planned to visit the Strawberry Festival
at Nashoba Winery during the ride. We're hoping that anyone who'd like to visit
the Festival but doesn't ride a bicycle would join us at the Winery to enjoy the
music, celebrate the strawberries and taste the wine. Bicycle ride will likely
be about 15-16 miles on backroads from the Littleton parking lot, and a shorter
way back.

I'll be there with my SO, Mark.

I'll be there as long as the distance is <25 miles total. That's a pretty
    hilly region...

I'll be there, and plotting shortcuts; for anything but flat terrain, that
sounds a bit long for me.

As I have a previous engagement in Littleton Saturday morning, I shall
be unable to bike around with you folks; but I'd be tickled to eat
    strawberries with you -- after 11.30 ....

If someone would like to borrow a bike, that could probably be arranged! :-)

Another non-biker - but I'd love to meet for the strawberries. And its
time to get some more of their wine anyway! See you there, (when
    about?)

ho, ho, ho. I'm finally catching up and it looks like the bicycle ride
to Nashoba Winery for the Strawberry Festival will be more popular with
folks joining us there than with us riders! And that's fine, the more
the merrier...

I'm anticipating that we'll be organizing the ride to meet at Littleton
around 10:15 Saturday morning, to depart around 10:30. I think we'll get
to the winery before noon, and probably stay over an hour, possibly up to
2pm. Anyone that wants to come out to the winery to join us, be ready for
any and all of:

1- fresh strawberries to eat, often with shortcakes
	2- wines to taste
3- wide open fields in which to picnic
4- live music (jazz, I think)
5- orchards to wander about in (good for talks!)
	6- womannoters with bikes!

I'm thinking we riders will want to recruit some of the strawberry folk
to carry our picnic baskets for us, any volunteers?

Finally, if you're planning to ride, please send me mail (fmnist::olson)
so I can have a rough headcount, and make sure we've got enough maps and
such.

I'll be offnet from here on in, but if anything changes with bike
ride planning, or with the picnicers meeting us at Nashoba winery,
I'll have someone (Joyce?) put in bulletins for us. Current plans
are for Jim Mackin, Sue Nale and Mark, Sharon Walker, and myself to
meet at LJO around 10:15 to depart around 10:30. Linda Lust has
graciously offered to meet us riders and ferry our pic-a-nic baskets
to the winery for us from LJO. Any other folks interested in picnicing
or wine tasting or enjoying the other amenieties of the strawberry
festival should meet us at Nashoba (in ? Bolton, I think) between
12 noon and 2pm on Saturday. So far that might be Annie Johnston,
Andy Lee, Linda Lust, and Bob Leigh with Mabel. But anyone can come!

Could someone please post driving directions to LJO (I've never been
there) and also, could someone post directions to Nashoba? (I have
been there but only once ;-)!

Directions to Nashoba Valley Winery:

Take Route 495 to Route 117 (exit 27, I believe).
If you were on Route 495 travelling North, turn right at the end of the ramp.
If you were travelling South, turn left. In any case,

Travel West on Route 117 into Bolton Center. Don't blink, or otherwise
you'll miss it.

You will pass a church and a police station.

At the center of town, there's a blinking light. Turn left there
onto Wattaquaddock (sp) Hill Road. As you proceed up the hill,
you will notice apple trees on both sides. The winery is most of
the way up the hill on the left.

LJO is on Porter Road, which starts at the intersection of Taylor
Street and an exit ramp off of Route 2.

Take Route 495 south or north to Route 2, or take Route 2 west to 495.
Do something such that you end up going west on Route 2 right where
495 crosses it. Take the first exit, which is about 600 feet after
    the going-south-on-495 ramp onto 2.

At the head of this exit-from-2-west ramp, there is Taylor Street
across your bow, and another road angling back on your left. *That*
is Porter Road. Take it. The Digital buildings will soon appear on
    your right.

Point of information that may not have been clear in the last reply:

When you exit from Rte. 2, take a left onto Taylor.
Porter is the first left off of Taylor.

If I'm not working, I'll be there. I'm not sure if Cynthia can
make it, if so, we'll ride Hermaphrodite (our tandem), otherwise
I'll ride Bluebeard (My single bike).
