126.0. "Good DAY !!!" by BARTLE::GRYNIEWICZ () Thu Aug 18 1988 18:43

    Has anyone ever seen "Killing us softly" by Jean Kilbourne ?

    Well I just previewed "Still killing us softly" and it was great
    what a way to start of my morning. This video/film made me feel
    great. It deals with how advertising has subliminal messages in
    them that still portray women in a negative way. What she has to
    say makes a lot of sense. This film really made me think about
    how I react/don't react to certain things.

    All I know now is that I feel better about who I am, not that I
    felt terrible to begin with, but this film sure is great......

    If anyone is interested in seeing it, just droop me a note.

    I viewed "Still Killing Us Softly" a few months ago. I highly
    recommend it to anyone who is interested in advertising messages.
    It's a very informative film.

126.5Another Kilbourne film, FYIPRYDE::ERVINWed Aug 24 1988 19:347
    Jean Kilbourne has another film out entitle "Calling the Shots"
    and it deals with alcohol advertising/pushing in the media. Perhaps
    a good one for EAP to know about, etc. I think the film starts
    off by Jean explaining that she had a really close friend who was
    killed by a drunk driver. If you like Jean's work, don't miss this
    one.
