    Just a reminder....
    
    Friday, June 17, at 5:00 pm, is your last chance to vote on the
    slogan for the Womannotes T-shirts, see Note 21.
    
    Get your votes in before it's too late.
        

    In order to give more community members a chance to voice their
    opinions, we've extended the tee shirt selection time. So you can
    still send in your selection until Friday, 23 June at 5:00. Currently,
    there is no clear winner. If that is still the situation next Friday,
    we will hold a runoff for the most popular selections the following
    week.

Of the 25 ideas for T-shirt slogans, 4 of the ideas got the most votes
but were very close.  We've decided to hold a "runoff" selection between
these 4.

    I have been on vacation, but I have lost track of the tee shirts.
    Are they available yet, and if so how do we order them?
    

    We are not yet ready to take orders for tee shirts. They are still
    being designed. We'll make an announcement when we're ready for
    the next step... Thanks to everyone for their patience.

    We are now ready to take final orders for the first Womannotes
    T-Shirts!  

    This message contains information about color, size and ordering.
    The reply after this message contains an order form that you can use
    to order T- shirts.

    The shirts will be Short-sleeve, 100% Cotton, Haynes, Beefy Tees.  
    They are available in Men's sizes:  Small, Medium, Large, 
    Extra Large (XL), and Extra Extra Large (XXL).

    Note: The Extra Extra Large (XXL) is available only in Red and Black.  
    If you want to order an XXL shirt, but are unhappy with the choices of 
    color, please send me mail.  The vendor may be able to help us out if 
    there is sufficient interest.


    The Design

    A friend of our community found an artist to do the design for the shirts.
    The design consists of a circle with lettering around the outside
    edge.  "WOMAN OF NOTE" in large letters around the top, 
    "Connecting With Other Women All Over The World - By Computer" in 
    medium letters around the bottom, and in small letters, also around
    the bottom, "FOUNDED 18th APRIL 1986 :: WOMANNOTES - TOPICS OF
    INTEREST TO WOMEN :: OVER 1000 ACTIVE MEMBERS".  Inside the circle, a 
    stylised flower design made up of abstract figures of women with arms 
    raised and fingers touching.

    Colors

    In order to get the shirts in the colors we want, we have to order at 
    least 12 of a color/size match (e.g. we'd need to order at least 12
    red, medium shirts to be able get red), so when you place your order, 
    please list a second color choice in case your first choice is not 
    available.  The shirts will be offered in the following Colors:

    	Black          

    	Wild Orchid   : a warm, medium purple

    	Columbia Blue : a warmish, light blue (but not pale)

    	Red           : tomato red

    	Ecru          : a pale yellowish beige 



	Note:  The design will be printed in black ink on all the shirts
	       except the black shirts for which we'll use white ink.


    Price

    The price per shirt will be $9.00.  

    Ordering

    I'll put an on-line order form in the reply after this one.  The
    vendor won't start printing till I give her the final numbers, so I'm 
    hoping we can get the order to her ASAP.  Please fill in the order
    form on-line and send it to me at PNEUMA::SULLIVAN  by Thursday, 
    October 13.  I will confirm your order  on-line, by Wednesday, October
    19, and at that time I'll let you know if your first choice color is 
    available.  Then you can send a check to me (I'll include that
    information when I confirm your on-line order.)

    Distribution

    We hope to distribute as many shirts as we can in person.  We thought 
    we could take advantage of the many local area noters parties and the 
    fact that lots of people do travel to the Maynard Area.  For people 
    outside the Greater Maynard Area, we will mail shirts via U.S. Mail.  
    When you fill out the order form, make sure you include your mailing 
    address, if you don't think you'll be able to pick your shirt up.

    A number of Womannoters from Europe have asked about how to pay for the
    t-shirts. I think the best thing will be for noters in Europe to send
    an international money order made out in U.S. dollars. A friend of mine
    who travels a lot mentioned something called an "international reply
    coupon." If anyone in Europe is unable to do either of those things,
    please send me mail, and we'll work something out. (Remember you don't
    have to pay until I confirm your order on-line.) I just thought I'd
    post this information here now because I want to make sure that
    Womannoters in Europe who want T-shirts know that they can get them. 

    Just want to let you all know that I got more orders than I'd 
    expected, so it may take me a few days to confirm all your orders.  
    I had to order these shirts by the dozen so I have a few extras in 
    most colors and sizes.  If you didn't get around to ordering a shirt 
    before, but you wish you had, let me know.  It'll be first come,
    first served.

    Anything new on the tee shirts?

    How long should I be patient for, ;-), after sending in my check??

    I've just heard from Justine. Tee shirts have been printed, she's

Mine arrived in Texas on Saturday, and looks GREAT!!  I'm so glad the 
decision was made to go ahead and use a QUALITY T-shirt -- Hanes makes 
as good as you can get.  It's still warm enough here some days to wear mine
now, so I'm enjoying it immediately.  Many thanks to Justine for all her
work!

    Hello, Everyone.
    
    As Liz and Mez mentioned all the shirts have been sent out.  (Oh,
    and, er.. almost everyone has paid, but if you haven't yet, could
    you please do that as soon as possible.  If you're not sure, send
    me mail.)  I did overorder slightly because I figured there'd be
    some more orders later on, so if you want to order a shirt, send
    me mail, and I'll tell you what I have left.
    
    To those of you who haven't receieved your shirts yet: if they don't
    arrive by Friday, send me mail, and we'll work it out.
    
    Thanks to Liz, Meigs, Dotti, and Maggie for all your help with this
    project.  I did try to share the responsibility for decision-making,
    but I admit that I underestimated the task of mailing out the shirts,
    so I'm sorry that it's taken so long.  If anyone decides to do this
    kind of thing again, I recommend having everyone who orders a shirt
    send you a self-addressed envelope - that would definitely speed
    things along... ah, hindsight.  Thanks again for all your support.

    chance to access the E-net; thanks to Justine for
    co-ordinating this, to the artist for the lovely design, and
    to everyone else who helped!  I like 'em!
