I am delighted to announce that Rose Ann Giordano has accepted the
position of Vice President, Eastern States Sales Region, reporting to me.
Rose Ann's outstanding contributions to Digital over the last ten years
have established her as a leader within the Company and the industry at
large, and I am pleased and honored to welcome her to the Sales
Management team.
Rose Ann joined Digital in 1979 as Group Marketing Manager for the
Technical Group. Following this assignment, she was named Product Group
Manager for DECSystem 10/20, then Market Group Manager for Large Systems
Marketing. Rose Ann was appointed a Corporate Officer and Vice President
in 1984, and went on to manage the Information Systems Business Group and
our Consultant and Information Systems Marketing organization. Recently,
Rose Ann assumed the additional responsibility of managing our Public
Sector, Education and Health Care Industry Marketing Groups.
Prior to joining Digital, Rose Ann worked for Bell Labs and the Data
Systems Division of Xerox Corporation, where she held a succession of
technical, sales and marketing management positions. In her last
position at Xerox, she was New England Manager of Sales and Sales Support
for the Computer and Computer Printing businesses.
Rose Ann is the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees for Trinity College
in Vermont, and is a member of the Advisory Committee for the American
Association of University Women. In addition, she is a Board Member and
past Chairperson for Digital's Corporate Contributions Committee.
Rose Ann is a summa cum laude graduate of Marywood College with a BA in
Mathematics, and in 1982 completed the Stanford University Graduate
School of Business Executive Program.
Rose Ann will assume her new Sales Management responsibilities
immediately, and will retain her responsibilities as the Corporate
Officer for DECUS. I know that you will join me in congratulating Rose
Ann, and in looking forward to the leadership she will bring to our
Eastern States Sales organization.
