1574.0. "Info requested on Deep sea fishing" by MAIL::DPROSE () Thu Apr 25 1991 19:27

    I am going to Bedford for training sunday april 28... Since I will be
    there for a couple of week I thought I would take in some DEEP SEA
    stuff. I have been out before .. Several times on Smith and Gilmore in
    Hampton beach and once on Capt. Jack's in Glouster..

    They reason I am posting this note is for some ideas. The prevous trips
    were ok by nothing to write home about if you know what I mean..

    Does anyone have any suggestions on where to go for a good trip.

    Any Ideas would be great

    Thanks,

    Dennis

1574.2I vote for Clipper FleetSALEM::RUSSOSat Apr 27 1991 14:5912

      I've always enjoyed the Clipper Fleet. They have all day trips from
    7:00-4:30. Adults are $29.00 /day. They have a great crew which is a
    real plus. Also I really enjoy the free Fish Chowder served on the ride
    back to port. Nothing like fresh fish chowder to warm you up. They are
    located at the Bridge Marina on Rt1 North, Salisbury Mass right on the
    Merrimack river. The phone number is 508-465-7495 from 6am-8pm daily.
    Call and they can tell you how they've been making out. Hope you have
    a nice trip.
                       Robin

    BTW.. often I've seen whales and even a sunfish on these trips out.
1574.3Good fishing out of Plum IslandBRAT::RUSCHMon Apr 29 1991 17:0612
    I am not a fisherman but I am a fisherman's girlfriend. My boyfriend
    is an avid fisherman, he goes out almost every Sunday for the day to
    Plum Island (I don't know the name), he has tried them all but really
    enjoys Plum Island and he always comes home with plenty of fish (10-30
    lbs every time he goes out). Their party boat this year is also brand
    new and from what I understand it it pretty nice.

    I am sure someone who reads this file can help out on the name of this
    particular fishing place in Plum Island.

    Regards,
    Marcia
1574.4That would be the...LEVERS::SWEETMon Apr 29 1991 18:024
    The new boat out of plum island would be the Capt. Lou (Lou Augusta).
    A 90ft aluminum I hear.

    Capt. Codfish.
