Since TBDW has moved out to the west coast, we need someone to plan our 
annual BASS ALE and TALL TALE get-to-gether after the show.  as I recall, we 
had gone to the VFW (?) which was not far away and we basically had the 
place to ourselves (except for the poker game going on out back).

Who will volunteer?

BTW...it looks like Coonass Bob will be out that week for Network U. 
training, so Bob should be able to join us.

I would propose that we get together on Friday.

    Anyone know what this hype is all about in the commercials for this
    event, which state "New-4-92...the hog trough"??
      

    I believe they are going to have a large aquarium type tank that will 
    have live bass in it.

    	I think it's about 6K gallons and is used to show lure action,
    presentation, and how the fish react to them.

I knew it was bad when I bought my first boat in Oct 91 and here I am
at a boat show knowing half the dealers in the place and bored with what
was on display.  Booooooorrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnngggggggg........

My wife and I will be there with or without the kids aka Chum on 
Friday night or Saturday.

       Don't know if it's the same one, but, the show here in the Quads
    has a "hawg trough" every year.  A huge (don't know the exact size)
    aquarium with all types of fish (bass, bluegill, walleye, crappie,
    catfish, etc.).  The guest speaker, usually a well known pro, will
    give demonstrations of fishing techniques into the tank.  The fish
    usually look like they've been in the tank for a long time, but it 
    is interesting to see how fish react to lures and hang around cover.
    Our show is this weekend, so I'm saving my denaro to stock up on any
    good deals that might be had.

    discount passes should be printed in this weeks tel&Gazette in the
    worcester area, the only thing i've cut from the paper so far is
    for the raffle the T&G put's on, they pull 2 names a day for a rod/reel
    set up and that qualifies you for a 3hp motor if you win a R/R combo,
    
    Hey sully, a 3hp motor would make a nice anchor for you??

    I took my son to McDonalds on rte 20 last week and the had $2 off for
    the expo for Thursday or Friday only. I gave Gary (Madd Matt) Mattson 
    5 coupons.
    
    I will be going on Saturday so they were no good to me.

    Anyone know anything about a fishing & outdoor show at the Big E
    in Springfield this weekend?  Is it a big show?  Show hours?
    
    Also, can anyone provide directions to the Big E from the Mass Pike?

    There is a show at the Big-E this weekend.  I believe it cost $8.00 per
    adult.

    Directions:  From Mass Pike
    
    Take Exit 4 to I91 South
    
    I91 South to Exit 7 (Columbus Ave)
    
    Take Left at Light to go over the Memorial Bridge to West Springfield.
    
    You will come to a rotary, continue straight (by going 1/2 way
    around!!) 
    
    About 1-1/2 to 2 miles straight on Memorial Ave and the Bi-E will be on
    your left.
    
    Total travel time from Mass Pike/I91 interchange is about 10 minutes.
    
    Have fun.

    After you take Exit 7 off I91, take a right at the light to go over the
    bridge.  Not a left!

    Thanks.  I'm actually going to be working at the show, but wanted
    to know what I'm in for, and how to get there.  I hope the turnout

     Centrum Fishing Expo Tickets.....
    
    Hi, I am on the Activities committee in HLO. We are looking into 
    
    ordering some tickets for the Fishing Expo at the Centrum. I am
    
    trying to get an idea of how many to order because we will have
    
    to get them next week and return any sold ones by the following 
    
    week. Not sure of the price but I think it will be the price 
    
    at which you buy them early at.  Last year it was $3.00.
    
    Pleare reply to this note if you are interested in tickets and
    
    how many by the end of the week so I can have an idea of how many 
    
    to order.  Then you can pick them up here in HLO at the Logo store.
    
    I might be able to help some people out by pick some up for them.
    
    NO GUARANTY ON THEM.   We have to get the tickets from the Centrum
    
    in packs of 20.

    Update on tickets for expo at Centrum.. The Logo store in HLO will try
    to get 40 tickets for this. I will post a note as to if we get the
    tickets and how much. Tickets can be picked up at the Logo store. I
    will also try to get tickets for people at other plants if they want me
    to but they will have to send a check through inter office mail to me
    at HL01-1/R01 for the amount and made out to DIGITAL HART. There will
    be NO guaranty that I can get you tickets but I will try. If not I will
    send your check back to you via inter office mail so please send you
    mailing address also.

    The Outdoor Show at the Centrum starts Thursday, Feb 3, and runs
    thru Sunday.

    
    No tickets available at Logo store. I was out last week and couldn't
    get a reply to the person buying the tickets...Maybe next year.

    Coupons for $2.50 off the normal price of $7.50 are available, I got
    one from someone who got some from someone... don't have a source at
    the moment to point folks towards, but I'd expect coupons to become
    available as we get closer.

    Checking out the January 20th issue of THE FISHERMAN and the Centrum
    Expo schedule, I came across a very interesting apprearance name.
    Frank Daignault will be giving a talk entitled "THE STRIPER EXPLOSION"
    Frank is probably the one, or one of the formost authority on Surf
    fishing for Stripers.  His seminar willl be on Thursday Feb 3rd at
    7:45 in the evening.  He has writen several books on the subject,
    and after reading one last winter and using a couple of his rigging
    technics caught over twice as many stripers as the year before,
    including 21 in two outings.  So if you are into surf stripper
    fishing I would highly recommend this seminar.  I plan on getting
    there early for a front row seat.

	I did know the Centrum show was last month... and that I entered the 
	question in the Centrum note, but in scanning the file I didn't see 
	a note for the Big E show...

     is scheduled for Feb 2-5.

	   The Fisherman, Jan. 25th issue has a couple $2. off discount
	tickets for the Centrum show.  They're good for Thurs. and Fri.
	Feb. 1+2, -not- good for Sat. and Sun. Feb. 3+4.

	   If you don't subscribe to the magazine it's still worth the
	$1.25 cover price for the $4. in discounts.

	   The Show starts Feb. 1st, Thursday and runs through Feb. 4th
	Sunday.

	   Of course the -other- show starts at 11:30 at the Firehouse
	which is across the street from the NW corner of the Centrum...

    Does anyone have a new telephone number for the Centrum,
    I tried calling the 508.798.8888 which is listed as the
    infomation line. It use to have a recording of what is
    showing and times etc but does not seem to be working anymore.
