The best way is to make the STAB/ELEVATOR a full flying stab that
is most always constructed in 2 halves and then held together with
two pins.

You might be able to modify this to form a fixed stab with the elevator
attached to the back but you would have to modify how the Vericle
stab fits on so that you could mount the Horz stab. Also you would
have to think about attaching the 2 elevator halves togeter and
how to connect them to the linkage. I think you should just find
a kit that has a full flying stab, like the sagitta 600 and build
the Ladies' tail like that.
Let us know how you make out.
I am intersted in this because I want to have a traveling glider
one I can carry on the plane. You can see there are two requirements.
1. Flat wing, or wing that can come apart to make a flat surface
(hint, do your lady with the 3 piece wing option, that way you will
have 2 flat tip pannels and 1 center panel slightly bent for dihedral.
2. A horizontal stab that is removeable so it will lay flat.
Right now I am planning on taking my Bob Martin Talon (60" 1 piece
wing, alieron, full flying stab, glider) to Santa Clara this friday
when I go out there for training.
On the bench I am getting ready to start a Sagitta 600 that I will
build with a flat wing/ailerons and I plan on using it as a travel
plane when I go to Seattle in July. It also has a full flying stab.
Just think, buy a hardplastic rifle case and it will hold a Sagitta
600, radio, and High start and is easy to carry and will go anywhere.
I knew I got into gliders for some reason, plus it will be a good
slope or thermal ship where ever I go.
