    FWIW, I went to GM practice at Daytona on Monday... Robby Gordon's fast
    lap wasn't a fluke... he was turning faster laps than everyone else
    every single time he went out. Sterling Marlin was fast too, as was
    Jeff Gordon, Earnhardt and Skinner wasn't bad either. The
    Pontiacs were slow... maybe 2-3 MPH off of the fast Chevy times. And
    for whatever reason, most of the Pontiacs seemed to be taking a VERY
    high line in the turns. Maybe that nose causes some handling problems?
    Dunno.

    Later...

    Can you usually get tickets on the day of the races for the Twin 125's?

    I think I will drive down this year(it is only about 80 miles).

    The twin 125's looked packed, but I think they have seats left on the
    ends of the front stretch and on the backstretch.

275.14Anyone know what Delma does in real life?DELNI::GAFFNEYGone fishin/racinThu Feb 13 1997 19:4913
    So old Delma didn't make the Big Show this year. Not surprising,
    but too bad anyways. I was there one year when he made it through
    the Twins. There was a major wreck in his Twin 125. It happened
    way in front of him. By the time he finally got there, the track
    was clean. When the reporters asked his what he's be doing for
    the next three days, thinking he'd be testing as often as possible.
    Delma told them he was putting the cover on the car, and not taking
    it off until Sunday morning. It was now time to party!!!! :*)
    He also said "I may never have won a race, but I've never lost
    a party" Hahahahahaaaa My kind of race reptile.

275.15The Dash rules!!!! :*)DELNI::GAFFNEYGone fishin/racinFri Feb 14 1997 18:0213
    The Dash race today was happening! If you get a chance to see it,
    go for it. ESPN has the race Saturday at 4am (2 hours). ESPN2
    has it again tonight at 7:30pm. There were some stupid rookie
    mistakes but for the most part it was an excellent race. Lots
    of lead changes, a couple of wrecks, the whole deal. One car
    (George Crenshaw) barrel rolled 7 times, ala Petty :*)
    Brian Sockwell took the win, his first.
      If the Cup guys put on as good a show Sunday, I think we'll
    all be smiling in here Monday morning. Those 4 cylinders are
    a pisser, 165 mph, with the plates, running a two barrel !!!!
