well guy i dont know, forgive my ignorance but what is VT? if it is the
same as prop 200 here in arizona, you better vote no or you wont ever be
able to hunt in your state ever again.

                         good luck and
                         good hunting

    re .4

    Nope.

It's a growth control law called ACT 200.

Landowners say it's an attack on their property rights. Lots of land
has been posted because of it. It has to do with regional authorities
getting the say in developement, and tieing some town funding to the
town's involvement with these authorities. No involvement - no funds.
Kind of like what the Fed's do with the drinking age limit.

The best sign I saw was at the junction of RT's 108/109 in Cambridge,
which read like this (sign was posted in a large manure pile):

    			FREE MANURE
We Can Give Some - But We Won't Take Any
    		       REPEAL ACT 200

Actually the VT Constitution guarantees the right to "hunt, fish, and
fowl." No PROP 200 (like in AZ) here...but that doesn't mean the
anti's aren't here...there's more and more every day it seems.

According to a noter in another conference (SPORTS), it was defeated
by a 52 to 48 margin. I haven't heard anything to the contrary, so
I assume that this information is correct.

Jerry

P.S. Also according to the same noter, the NRA spent a lot of money
fighting this. I think that all of us hunters owe the NRA a big
thank you.

Well, the media hasn't said diddly, and most anti-hunting or
anti-gun measures are their darlings, so it must have failed ;-)
