| When you go to the meeting, bring a current map of the town, and
an estimate of how much land is open and huntable. You may get a
surprise. In one highly industrialized city in Western Mass. they
tried to pass such a law. Members of our revolver club pointed out
that fully _one third_ of the land area in the 'city' was old
farms and woodlands, where hunting posed no danger to the populace.

| Update on the Windham town meeting relative to the firearms/hunting
related articles.
Another pair of bullets dodged in Windham.
The article to request that the Legislative rep introduce a bill to
restrict hunting in Windham to Bow and Arrow was ammended by one of
its backers to include muzzle loading rifles. The entire article was
defeated.
There was an ammendment, by the originator,
to the article to ban the discharge of firearms
within the town of Windham, to allow it with permission of the
landowner. The article was then dismissed.
Hope that other towns with similar articles had the same results.
