Plan on spending a couple thousand. And plan on shooting
    two nice deer :-)

Where do you live ? LUDWIG:: sounds like Germany. There may be
some excellent spots closer to home :-)

I hear that it is thickly wooded but 2 deer should not be a problem.
Lots of deer. From what I hear you should have a great time.

There is also a note specifically on Anticosti in this file. I toyed
with the idea, but heard some stories about the place that turned me
off. It seems people who return year after year get the preference to
the better spots. I spoke to someone who went last year, and shot 2
    does.

2 grand for 2 does! 1000=doe. Not what I wanted to do!

I have just received the information packet from the government
concerning the 1990 season on the Island . There are several ways that
you can pull this off with costs ranging from +- 500$ up to what ever
you want to spend . The less expensive hunts are on a draw basis and
have no guide with accomodations being in a walled tent with limited
but ok facilities . They are on a draw basis and apparently not easy to
get , most are based on 4 hunters with 5 days hunting . The application
for the draw needs to be for the proper number of hunters ( you would
need to round up 3 more people ) .

I have the info and if you are interested I would be willing to copy
etc and send to you. I did spend quite a lot of time talking to the rep
at the Maine sportsman show last spring . The guy I talked with is a
guide , it was interesting , I know several people that have been and
they all indicate that it is a very special place to hunt . A compitent
hunter should be able to get two nice bucks with a little luck and some
    hard work .
