5483.0. "" by THEFT::MICK (Crisis, What Crisis?) Wed Feb 05 1997 17:39

Hi,

I have just installed V3.1 on an AlphaStation running OpenVMS V7.1.

The **1st** time I try to add a word to the dictionary I get the following
message...

"User Dictionary is full; no more words can be added"

...but I haven't added any words. This is a new installation (not an upgrade) so
my User dictionary should be empty!!

I've read section 2.24.2 of the release notes (Cannot access or add a word to
personal dictionary), however I do have a lexicon license installed

$ sho lic INTL-LEXICON-BRITISH-ENG/ful

Active licenses on node THEFT:

INTL-LEXICON-BRITISH-ENG
        Producer: DEC
        Units: 0
        Version: 0.0
        Release Date: (none)
        Termination Date: (none)
        Availability: F (VAX Layered Products)
        Activity: 0
        MOD_UNITS
        ALPHA
        Product Token: *FOR_DIGITAL_INTERNAL_USE_ONLY*

Any Ideas?

Mick

I guess you need a alpha license for your lexicon!

Hi,

OK, i removed the VAX license and loaded an Alpha license...

$ show lic INTL-LEXICON-BRITISH-ENG/ful

Active licenses on node THEFT:

INTL-LEXICON-BRITISH-ENG
        Producer: DEC
        Units: 0
        Version: 0.0
        Release Date: (none)
        Termination Date: (none)
        Availability: H (Alpha Layered Products)
        Activity: 0
        MOD_UNITS
        ALPHA

Same error message...

"User Dictionary is full; no more words can be added."

It can't be the license 'cos the rest of the 'Spell Check' functions work fine.
