| I want to let everyone know that Carole (my girlfriend) and I went to
see Mary last night after work.
Considering her being in a hospital bed, she was looking as lively as
ever, although she mentioned she hasn't slept too well. They found a
blockage in her Carotid Artery and they're going to do more testing
today. They think she might be able to go home for the weekend and,
probably, take all of next week off. Everything depends upon the test
results from today. Let's hope she fares well...

| I spoke with Mary Friday night at 10:00pm EST (US). She said she was
feeling fine and may be able to return to work. However, she called our
Personnel Manager yesterday afternoon and said she expects to be out
recouperating until 11-Jun-96 - the date of her next doctor visit. She
believes that she'll be able to return to work shortly after.
Once again, I'd like to thank everyone - for Mary and myself - for
showing such care and concern for a fellow DECcie! You guys and gals
are the BEST!!!

There seems to have been an outbreak of disasters over the weekend as

Thanks to all or you for the P & PE. Kaylenes Dad is now in intensive
care and unable to move his limbs. We are still hoping she'll make it
home to New Zealand in good time......

Just to update you all - kaylenes dad was so sick his wife decided to
tell him that Kaylene and the children were coming over to see him. He
gained a great deal of strength from that and although he's still on a
ventilator his potasium levels have improved and he's out of intensive
care. The cancer is still there of course but she WILL get to see her
dad. Shes somewhere around Hong kong right now and will be in New
Zealand around 11:00pm our time tonight. She doesnt know of the
improvement her dads made as this news came in a telephone call from
his wife Lois this morning...

Thats what we're hoping too Stretch - she's in NZ now and apparently
hes improved so much the docs are reconsidering the viability of
