    This is a note that I've put into FELINE.  Hopefully some of my
    ::FRIENDS may be able to help me.  Does anyone know of someone who does
    not have a cat that would like one?  Silver needs to go to a home where
    she is the only animal, as she doesn't like other animals.
    
    
    I hate this ... but I'm desperately looking for a home for my purebred
    Korat, Sterling Silver.  
    
    First .. the stats on her.
    
    Age:  7 years old
    Color:  Gray with a silvery sheen to her coat
    Eyes:  Green
    Sex:  Female .. spayed
    
    Distinct characteristics:  She has many of them.  She LOVES to play
    fetch with little celophane balls.  She is VERY affectionate, and loves
    children (presently living with a little girl one and a half years old. 
    She allows Melissa to LAY on her).  
    
    There are a few things about her that are kind of weird.  1)  she
    cannot be with another animal.  She hates other cats.  and we've just
    recently found that she doesn't like dogs either (see story below).  
    2)  She has this skin condition that comes around about every spring. 
    Basically you just need to bring her in to get a cortizone shot, and
    give her some pills for about 2 weeks.  3)  She is allergic to fish and
    the red dye that you find in ALPO foods.  I picking out food for her,
    it cannot have ANY fish in it.
    
    
    My sister-in-law has had Silver for the past 7 months.  She loves her
    and so does her daughter Melissa who is one and a half years old. 
    However, her husband really wanted a dog, so they decided to get one. 
    Now Silver is basically living upstairs in the toy room because she
    can't stand the dog.  She's petrified of the dog, and won't come out of
    the room.  So we've decided that it's best to find her a new home.
    
    Please, if anyone is interested in her, please contact me.  Remember..
    she must go to a home where she is the only animal.  Also, she MUST not
    go outside, cannot be declawed.  These are conditions that I insist
    upon.
    
    You can call me at home if you prefer.  (508)343-9611.  She will be up
    to date on all of her shots when you get her.  She also will come with
    everything you need (litterbox, bowls, etc.) including a cat
    scratching post.

    Just another alternative, NEADS in West Boyalston is a great temporary
    shelter for cats...I brought my cat there because it's a no kill
    shelter.  She was taken very good care of and they found her a new home
    in Conn.  While she was there, I was allowed to go visit anytime, call
    anytime and they even called me to tell me she had a new home.  
    
    The first thing they did was give her shots, brushed her teeth...yup,
    and changed her name...because it was SPAZ, I guess someone would be a
    little skeptical to take her home...anyway, they picked
    Mabeline...cute, I think.

    Holly, have you found a home yet? There is a notesfile on cats I
    believe? Did you try in there too? (If not found an appropriate 
    home yet that is!) 
    
    We had a perzian cat once that was so sweet by itself but brother, when
    it saw either the other cats or the dog it would become so violent! We
    sold it for a friendly price so the other pets could live a normal life
    again! Tramp, my little dog, walked around it real fast whenevr it had
    to get by! hehehehe ....was pretty funny to see! ;-)

    Thanks Mark.. Yes, I have put this in FELINE ... I'm the moderator, so
    I THINK I know where it might be. (-:  The poor baby is just staying
    upstairs away from the dog. )-:
    
    Persians are very sweet cats.  A little too docile for me.  I like a
    cat that's a bit more active.  You know, the kind that go "zero to nuts
    in four seconds". (-:

     From birds to rabbits they brought home! real funny cats!!!!!!
     And guess who got to clean up the mess every time???? yep! ME!

    Just an FYI .. I've finally found Silver a home!  She's going to be
    living with a very nice woman in Holden, MA.  No, it's not >M<. (-: 
    She'll be going to her new home on Friday.
