We seem to be using new terms. "basis points". Could a board member
or anyone with knowledge expand on the term, how it is used, and what
the various levels are. It was akin to reading the minutes if
    published in Greek.

Also, does anyone have knowledge on when the elections are? There
doesn't seem to be a whole lot of interest.

Lastly, is the board doing anything for Paul K? I would encourage
*everyone* to send a note to Paul K. [My opinion] He was the single
most important player in the whole clean up effort. It is really too
bad that he does not continue on as director.

The term "basis points" is mathematically equal to 0.01% = 0.0001 i.e.,
100 Basis points = 1.00%

This unit of measure is used fairly extensively in the financial
industry. It has also been used many times in pass DCU minutes. It is
not a new term.

Roughly, the dates are:

First week in June - ballots mailed out
Mid July - ballots due back.

I'm not really sure what can be "done" "for Paul K". Paul was encouraged,
both by some board members and by the nominating committee to submit an
application for nomination and he chose not to do so within the schedule
provided. He was additionally encouraged (at least by me) to run by petition,
and, again, he chose not to.

I assume that Ed was suggesting that someone organize some kind of
formal or informal recognition of Paul's contribution to the DCU
before he leaves the Board. I think it's a great idea for people
to send Paul messages expressing what you think of his contribution.

As regards his choosing not to run again, I believe that part of his
decision arose from a conclusion that the key things that he joined the
Board to work on have been achieved. What a great feeling!

    	Enjoy,

yes, definately honoring Paul. He is by far the director that has
always been there, even though is is on the wrong coast.
If the board was going to do something, I hope they let us in on it.
I think it fair for DCU to buy his tickek back here for the annual
    meeting.

Ahh!

Well, it just goes to show you - there are my anti-social, hermit-like,
non-party-animal tendencies clicking in and leading me to improper
conclusions. A recognition event hadn't even crossed my mind.
