2213.0. "It installs Word integration anyway on NT" by ALFSS2::GIANNETTI_D () Wed May 21 1997 13:38

Customer has TeamLinks 2.7 and Microsoft NT 4.0. The
customer has Office 95 (word 7 excel 7) on their system
and when they install the TeamLinks, she goes into
customize install and it is blank where the Word 7.0
and Excel 7.0 integration would normally be.

She clicks in those spots anyway and guess what - it updates
the screen with how much disk space is needed and it then
will install the integration.

When she enters Word she gets "WordBasicError 543"

When she enters Excel she gets "RunTimeError 6"
				Overflow

I was under the impression since the product does not list she
should not be able to install.

Is this the way its intended to be?

The intention was that those options not be available on NT and they
shouldn't be installed. The reason it was blanked out is because it is
not a valid option on NT ...obviously it doesn't work. Unfortuantely,
I guess we didn't catch the fact that if you selected the blank spots
it would still go ahead and install.

This has been corrected for V3.0. The invalid options won't
appear at all in the options dialog and there won't be any
blank spots either.
