2183.0. "Unable to Deleted MSG from Teamlinks V2.7" by AIMTEC::LUCAS_A () Thu May 08 1997 13:29

Customer has the following issue: I checked notes and their does
not seem to be any specific information on this issue.
I reminded customer about the Profile seting in IOS and he wishes
to keep that set to N. However, he is complaining that some messages
his users are able to delete and some receive the problems listed
    in the paragraph below.

Subject: (PR2) Cannot delete a message

We have a hand full of users who are sending messages that cannot be
deleted through TeamLinks. Once read, these message are remaining in
a NOTED status. Only after reading them through ALL-IN-1 do they
achieve a READ status and can be deleted. (We do not allow users to
delete UNREAD messages.) It appears that these messages are being sent
from laptops that are connected through modems. Is there something that
can be set by the message, or by the PC, that will cause this situation?

We are running TeamLinks 2.7 using Windows95. Our ALL-IN-1 release is
    3.2.

    Thanks,
    AL

I have two messages sitting in my MAIN drawer which I cannot delete.
After reading this note I checked and sure enough they have a status
of NOTED.

I don't know why this happened and it hasn't happened since. They
were from Kieran McCorry. I just assumed he must have been using
MS Exchange to generate them.

So now I know how to delete them thanks to this note. But I might
not until someone can look at it and figure out why this happened.

If you can get a reproducable scenario, then perhaps you should PTR
it.
