1965.0. "Move doc & wrong day and time" by TAGEIN::SCHOEN () Wed Jan 29 1997 08:18

Hi all,

TeamLinks V2.1 (German)
DMW V1.7 for UNIX
UNIX 3.2g

I know that this versions are rather old but the following problem exists
now for 1 year !!

One year ago the customer use the local filecabinet on his PC. Then he said
ok i'll use now the filecabinet on my server (performance reasons).
He select the documents in his local filecabinet and move them to the
server filecabinet.

Now the following happens :

If he opens a drawer on his server he can see for example :

DRAWERname
	MEYER@XXX	02.12.1995	6K	PRODUCT LIST

If he use now the "show full header" option the he see the following :

Posted 	  :
Delivered : 02.12.1995 14:00:00 <- date and time is ok

When he "doubleclick" the document to read it a seperate window opens
and now he see the wrong date and time (also when he print the document).

In the right top corner :

button button ... button 20.01.1996 10:00:00 <-- this is the day and time he
					       moves the document from the
				               local filecabinet to the server
					       filecabinet !!

Today the customer use TeamLinks V2.5 and DMW V2.0 but all documents he
had moved have the wrong day and time.

His question is now :
How can he change the wrong date and time ?

any ideas ?

thanks in advance !

regards Thomas

1965.1should be fixed in MailWorks/UNIX V2.0 ECO2KOALA::MANSURJoe MansurWed Feb 12 1997 16:385
I don't see a way to modify the already-changed dates. With
MailWorks/UNIX V2.0-2, the dates should not change to the move-date when
moving local (non-revisable) messages to the server.

Hi Joe,

thanks for your answer !

One question :

this problem occured under an "old" version of DMW so we can't reproduce the
problem.
Under the version 1.7 the customer see only the wrong date of documents he
moved under a version prior to 1.7. If he move now a document the date is
correct.
Will he see with version 2.0-2 the correct date of the "old" moved documents ?

1965.3"old" dates still wrongKOALA::MANSURJoe MansurMon Feb 17 1997 13:296
Thomas,

I don't think that dmwu v2.0-2 will show correct dates for what you called "old"
moved documents. The wrong dates are stored in those messages.
