| Hi
This is the answer from the customer:
When SETUP.EXE is run from a client (without an A: drive), the
TeamLinks Mail fuer Windows - Voreinstellungen (setup) window is
displayed covered by the error window "Systemfehler - Von Laufwerk A
kann nicht gelesen werden" (system error - cannot read from drive A).
The installation does NOT reach the dialog window to ask whether it
is an installation of a personal copy.
When the abort button is pressed to exit the installation, the PC
hangs so badly that it must be rebooted.
The directory c:\~tlinstd.t is left behind, but there is NO
c:\windows\tlinstal.log.
Some further testing was done and the command
SUBST A: C:\
added to AUTOEXEC.BAT just before Windows is started. This causes
the C: drive to be used as the A: drive and has the side effect that
the Windows for Workgroups PC is forced into 16 bit file system mode.
This is a viable workaround for manually installing a single PC, but
we have about 1000 PCs to update over the network.
