Hi,

I'm trying to define Teamlinks as default mail client to Internet Explorer. I
installed Teamlinks 2.7 with MAPI option enabled, and the [Mail] section of
WIN.INI now is:

[Mail]
MAPI=1
MAPIX=1
OLEMessaging=1
CMC=1
CMCDLLNAME=mapi.dll
CMCDLLNAME32=MAPI32.DLL
Exchange=C:\Progra~1\Micros~1\Exchng32.exe

When I try mail creation within Internet Explorer 3.0, Teamlinks is not
invoked.
In the View menu, Options, Programs tab, the Mail box only has Internet Mail
option.

From a Microsoft KB article, I see that the default mail client can be defined
modifying the URL:MailToProtocol handler listed in the File Types (Programs
tab).

What is the DLL that should be invoked to use Teamlinks as the default mail
client?

What exactly are you trying to do. Clicking on a mail address probably
doesn't work, but I can get it to work just fine from the Mail button
or from the File menu Send To...

You shouldn't have to do this.

All that you need are the TeamLinks MAPI dlls. Can you get anything
else that uses Simple MAPI to work, like Word or Excel for example?

The Mail button or Send To... option invoke Internet Mail, not Teamlinks. What
should I check to fix it?

I'd like to click on a mail address and get the Teamlinks Create Message
window, with the To: field already filled (usual behavior). If I change
URL:MailToProtocol to point to Infoman.EXE, when I click on a mail address, I
get the Teamlinks Information Manager window.
I assume that calling the correct DLL will open the Create Message window, as
desired.

No. I didn't try Word or Excel. I'll do that.

All I did was Install Simple MAPI. Now when I use those I get
the TeamLinks create message window. What do you see? Is there
an error?

Unfortunately as I said, this doesn't work. We are looking into fixing
it. Internet Explorer is calling a Simple MAPI call, but we need to
modify how TeamLinks Simple MAPI is interpreting some of the parameters
being passed in.

Try that. If you can get it to work with Word or Excel, then you
should see the behavior I do.
