Hello,
We have seen two occurances of this problem at customer sites and now
we can duplicate the problem here at the the center after upgrading.
When using Mailworks 1.3A(also tried EC03) when a Team Links user (tried
2.5, 2.7, and FT 3.0) attempts to read a large attachment the PC hangs
and you have to stop the task through the task manager to free the PC.
The PC displays the hour glass BUT the attachment never displays. We
have waited up 30 minutes for the attachment to display. At one site
it seems to happen with all attachments both text and non-text. The
problem only seems to occur with the following products:
UCX 4.1 (if you back down to 4.0 UCX the problem goes away)
VMS 6.1 (may happen with over versions but both customer sites and CSC
have this version) and Mailworks 1.3A and greater.
This is a critical issue and we are wondering if anyone else has
experienced this issue?

I'm sure UCX have shipped a patch to 4.1 for this problem - have you
tried it.
I'm not sure if the details were placed in this conference, I'll dig
them out if they're not.

The only UCX patch I know of is the GETHOST by name patch. Is there
another.

That's the patch I was thinking of, Martin is going to look at the cases
it resolved to see if any sound similar.
Have you tried it?

Try UCXVAX_E4041 for VAXen and UCXALP_E4041 for Alphas.
Maybe a new nickname is in order, similar to PATCHWORKS.

As an fyi, I put on the UCX patch outlined in the previous work unit.
and we are no longer experiencing the problems. Waiting to here
from the customer.
