1531.0. "VIEW ERROR /SERVER SM_ERRPROMAN" by UTRTSC::SCHOLLAERT (Ajax: World Champions 1995) Wed Jan 29 1997 08:19

    Hello,

    Small customer question.

Through X4MAN it should be possible to VIEW the ERROR logs of other
    nodes in the cluster.

But he gets the following reproducable error:
    On UTURBO or UTRUIN:

    X4MAN.MAIL> LIST
    Nam Node Config State Directory
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    000 UTURBO Enabled Real UTILS:[MUAS$SERVER_000]
    001 UTRUCK Enabled Real UTILS:[MUAS$SERVER_001]
    002 UTRUIN Enabled Real UTILS:[MUAS$SERVER_002]

    X4MAN.MAIL> VIEW ERROR /SERVER=UTRUCK
%A1MAIL-E-SM_ERRPROMAN, Error occurred while processing one of the
    management-mode commands.
    -MUAS-E-INV_VALUE, Invalid value

    Bug ?

    Cheers,

In summary, /SERVER is the name of the server, not the node that
the server is running on. Have the customer try the 3 character
    server name.

    This is a bug.

You will need to submit an IPMT case to get resolution to the problem.

It was my understanding that it was not possible to enter any
manage mail command for another node than the current one.

I think VIEW ERROR/SERVER=nnn is used to differenciate multiple
servers on the same node but may be I am wrong....

    Hi,

X4MAN.MAIL> view NODE_CHECK /NODE does work like specified.

No, this also doesn't work. Whatever you try, MUAS-E-INV_VALUE
    is returned.

I will submit an IPMT case.

A log file for another server may be viewed, a server may not be managed.
By manage, I mean stop, start, reset the server process.
