3759.1Religious Themed Candy Molds/EasterNASZKO::DISMUKEWANTED: New Personal NameFri Feb 26 1993 15:3211
Looking for a candy mold with religious easter theme; such as praying
    hands or crosses.

I will actually me using them for molding plaster of paris, so anything
you can think of would be a big help.

I have searched the following in the Nashua area: Paperama, LeeWards.

    Thanks

Rachel's on Kinsley street usually has a big supply of that sort of
item. She is located on the rt side of Kinsley, across from a
Medical bldg. (Dr. Cote, Goyette are in this bldg) and before St
    Joseph hospital.

3759.3Party Supply StoresSOLVIT::PAGLIARULOFri Feb 26 1993 15:497
You might want to try the Party-type stores, especially those that
carry Wilton cake and candy making supplies. I know the Party Center at
Shaw's in S. Nashua has their Easter stuff out, but I couldn't say for
sure if there were crosses or praying hands.

<<< I wouldn't recommend using a candy mold for plaster of paris, the
<<< expansion/contraction characteristics of candy vs plaster are quite
<<< different. Try calling a craft store, if they don't have it they
<<< probably have a catalog.

I'm looking for ice-cream/butter or old chocolate molds.
My husband is a professional chef and he just started
collecting these with his first purchases being at
Brimfield last week. He plans on using these. The ones
we bought last week were made of heavy pewter. We're not
interested in the newer ones. Any info at all on any antique
stores that might have some of these or even some books on
old molds would really be appreciated greatly.

    Thanks,
    Susan
3759.7Coupon trade before I'm terminated.NOVA::FISHERTay-unned, rey-usted, rey-adyTue Oct 25 1994 10:2033
Don't laugh, well you can if you want to. :-)

Wanted: a cache of Betty Crocker points coupons. The ones that come on
General Mills boxtops, Gold Medal Four, etc. Someone you know probably
has a drawer full of them. I've been buying my wife's china through
them for years, adding some pieces every year (after I get the "double
your points offers" :-) ) and when I get the flyers for the extra
pieces that aren't even sold in the catalog, etc. Now my stock of
coupons is finally running low so I got to thinking.

Anyway, I'd like to offer something in return, I was thinking perhaps
a "Bombe aux Trois Chocolats" for 1000 pts. I can deliver almost
anywhere in So NH, northestern Mass. Let's say for 1250 I'd go that
extra mile and make it for a party delivered anytime, anywhere in the
    area. (An office Cristmas Party?)

I've made this many times and never gotten complaints -- though a few
times have been prettier than others. If you want it "no rum or
brandy" you have only have to mention it. Of course, I'll include the
raspberry sauce and whipped cream. :-)

(The recipe comes from the now dormant Chocolate Notes file and before
that, from Julia Child and More Company.)

For a summary, picture an inverted bowl made of chocolate brownie,
filled with a mousse and with a chocolate sauce poured over it. Slice
and serve with a raspberry sauce and whipped cream. We're not talking
    Weight Watchers here.

Serves six, or eight, or four, or ... Other sizes negotiable.

WANTED: Anybody ordering Kitchen Aid Mixer attachments

I'm not sure how this one is going to fly, but my wife requested I ask so here
goes. She wants to order an attachment for her Kitchen Aid mixer. Apparantly
no matter what you order or how much you order, you pay $4.50 for a blanket
postage fee. That's a major disincentive for the one attachment she wanted
to get. She's hoping someone out there in noteland was also in a similiar
quandery and would like to share an order and split the postage.

Of course if you're interested in this, it would be nice if somewhere in the
normal course of events our paths crossed as I'm not interested in a schlepp to
the mill to save a few bucks postage. I live and work in Nashua so MK would
be OK. I have friends who commute to MRO so that could be doable also.
Any takers?

-Bob

3759.13Spatini and Gravy Master?CX3PST::CSC32::CBUTTERWORTHGive Me Wings...Tue Apr 22 1997 19:1318
    Hi Folks,

Does anyone know if they still make Spatini spaghetti sauce mix?
I used to get it all the time back east and I can't find it out
    here in Colorado Springs.

The last few times my husband or I have gone back to the Mass. area
we've looked for it, but so far no luck. It comes in the dried packets
of sauce mix (like Lawrey's etc, it isn't in a jar.) We used to get it
in Purity Supreme (which I've been told is now out of business) and in
Iandoli's (there was one on the outskirts of Clinton, MA.

How about Gravy Master too? The only thing they have out here is
Kitchen Bouquett or something like that and it just isn't the same.

    Thanks in advance!

    \Caroline
