3540.0. "BREAD: Help to find Bread Ingredients" by USCTR1::PSCOTT () Mon Jun 01 1992 15:29

I am looking for a place to buy the following ingredients to support
our hunger for whole grain homemade breads. I have mail order catalogs,
but would prefer to find a place in the RI--> Central MA vacinity.

    I'm looking for:

    Wheat Berries
    Cracked Wheat
    Bulger Wheat
    Barley Flour
    Oat Flour
    Rice Bran
    Rice Syrup
    Rye Berries
    Soy Flour
    Amaranth
    Kasha (in bulk)
    and Quinoa

Unfortunately, two of my favorite bulk/health food stores have gone
out of business. Any leads would be appreciated!

Does this mean you have recipes using all these things? I'd love to
see a recipe for Quinoa bread!

I get all my bulk grains at Bread and Circus, which doesn't do you much
    good in Central MA.

You can get 'em mail order from the King Arthur Flour catalogue, out of
Vermont. Check the King Arthur Flour sack for their location.

Quite an impressive selection. I don't know how they compare in price,
    because I rarely make bread.

I did find a vast majority of things at the All Natural in Milford, MA,
and I now have the King Arthur catalog...as well as numerous others.
Prices vary considerably from one catalog to the next!

I will post the recipe for Quinoa Bread as soon as I can. It is
in the Breadmaker's Cookbook I or II ($10 for the set; great buy!)
(For automated machines; even better than the DAK book!)
