2866.0. "PIZZA: Quick and Easy Seafood Pizza" by ENOVAX::DREYER () Mon Jan 21 1991 22:39

    Last night I made an interesting seafood pizza, kind of a take off on
    the one Pizzeria Uno has. The amounts are all to taste, but the basics
    are to take an 8 piece can of crescent rolls, and on an ungreased
    cookie sheet, put two squares of the dough, each 1/2 of the can. I
    spread them out slightly. Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella and jack
    cheese, about 4 oz. total of each. In the microwave, melt about two
    tablespoons of margarine to which 3 or so cloves of minced garlic have
    been added. In medium size bowl, mix together about 6 oz. small frozen
    shrimp, defrosted and liquid sqeezed out, about 6 oz. chopped sealegs,
    about 1/2 tsp. italian seasonings, 1 small can mushrooms, rinsed well
    and chopped,and butter/garlic mixture. Sprinkle evenly over cheese,
    and bake as directed on crescent roll package. These were really
    delicious, quick and easy!!

2866.1A new dough?NEWPRT::WAGNER_BATue Jan 22 1991 17:292
What? Is this a new way to make pizza dough? And easy too? How much do you
spread out the dough? How big of a pizza does one can make?
2866.2Not really Pizza Dough, But Good!!ENOVAX::DREYERTue Jan 22 1991 17:537
    This isn't really a pizza dough, but a tender, flaky crust!! I spread
    it out to make it more uniform in appearance. One 8 roll can will make
    two personal size pizzas, about 8" X 8". Try it, let me know how you
    like it!!

    Regards,
    Laura

    Another variation on the seafood pizza which doesn't sound good (at
    least I didn't think so at first) is as follows:

    Prepare your pizza dough in the usual way. Top it with cocktail sauce
    instead of tomato sauce. Sprinkle with imitation crabmeat (the Louis
    Rich brand...I think that's the name, is very good) and some shrimp if
    available. Top with cheese (I use mozzarella, provolone and white
    cheddar) and bake till done.
