1367.0. "I need MIME test plan." by TKOV51::MINEGISHI () Thu Apr 17 1997 03:34

The user that I support have a plan to upgrate MailWorsk from V1.7A to V2.0.
They want complete test of function of this MailWorks V2.0 especially MIME
function. They want to show them test plan documents, test procedure
documents and test result documents.

Question.

Are there any those kind of literature for use of this request?

I think MIME function test has much of test case becasue of lots of attached
type we can send. In the development procedure, how do they performe this
test? If possible please let me know about this.

Thanks in advance,

Nobuhide

I think the best that I can suggest is that you use a
service that will send MIME messages back to the address
you request them from. You can access the service by
sending mail to
   MIME-tester@bunyip.com

Put the name of the test you want on the subject line of the
message. Or, you can use the word HELP on the subject line
to get the following text

-Stan
========================================================

NOTE: Neither I, nor Bunyip Information Systems Inc, take any
      responsibility for damages on your computer, your software
      or loss of work when reading these messages.

      All messages are tested on several architectures, and on several
      MIME-clients before they are put on the server.

      You should though SAVE your work and quit all other applications
      before reading a MIME-test message. A message might start an
      external viewer which crashes your computer, so even if your Mail
      Reader is stable, crashes might happen!

   With this mailback service you can order a MIME message according
   to the specification written for the Interoperaability tests in
   Stockholm, spring 1996. Write the name of the test you want on
   the Subject line of the message.

   The specification can be found at
   http://www.cafax.se/i96/MIME-96.html

   You can order the following tests:
