| This IPR is still open, partly because we determined that
it is more of a nuisance problem than a serious problem.
The segmentation fault is the result of one thread closing
a socket during the shutdown, and another thread not being aware
that the socket has gone away. While a segmentation fault
sounds ominous in general, in this case, it is relatively harmless.
We have made some changes to the stopMAILworks script (in V2.0
ECO2, if I recall) that shut down the other processes before the
mss - this appears to reduce the frequency of this error, but
has not completely eliminated it.
Does the customer believe that they are having real problems
as a result of this, or is it just the nervousness about
a segmentation fault?

| Hi Stan,
Thanks for replying, I've passed the information on to my customer who
is going to upgrade to v2.0-4.
I think they saw the segmentation fault and were worried it might be a
severe problem, but your reply has put their mind at rest.
Thanks again,
Mike
